The Gender Centre is the peak state-wide specialist multi- purpose service supporting the transgender, gender diverse and gender questioning population of NSW . We support trans and gender expressive people at every stage of their journey as they explore their authentic sense of self. This includes for some of our clients transitional support (pre, mid, and post transition), our service has the necessary specialist skills, experience and capabilities to respond to the community providing specialist counselling and psychological services, outreach, support, case management, housing,(crisis & transitional) on site Allied Health Services Psychologists, Nutritionists and Speech pathologists and referrals to other service providers. The Gender Centre also undertakes advocacy work, resource development, stakeholder training and corporate education, and operates as a secondary needle & syringe program (NSP) outlet. The Gender Centre is committed to developing and providing these services and activities which enhance the ability of transgender and gender diverse people with gender issues to make informed choices. We specifically aim to provide a high quality service, which acknowledges human rights and ensures respect and confidentiality for all.
