Mardi Gras Fair Day!Fair Day is the ultimate way to kick off the official Mardi Gras season, with a fun and relaxed day out in the park with friends and family, even your pets! Up to 70,000 people routinely turn out to sit on the grass, browse the stalls, enjoy the wide range of delicacies available at the stalls, have a few drinks, but most of all, catch up with old friends - and make some new ones. The Gender Centre will once again be running a stall providing information about our service and the services that we provide to the gender questioning community of New South Wales. Safe Injecting Workshop! (Incl. Injecting Hormones)Safer injecting is vitally important to keep you as safe as possible from blood-borne viruses such as hepatitis C and H.I.V. But there are other reasons for learning and practicing safer injecting techniques, including avoiding other infections such as endocarditis as well as taking care of your veins. Transtopia 2012!Gender Questioning? ... Gender Queer?"Transtopia" is a monthly group to be held over ten months in 2012 for Transgender Youth between the ages of 14 and 19. "Transtopia" aims to provide a safe, fun space for young trans people to connect with others, enjoy safe activities and talk about the issues affecting the trans youth of Australia. Gender Centre Barbecues in 2012!Meet Old Friends ! Make New Ones !Come along to the friendly and fun Gender Centre barbecues held periodically throughout the year. Meet old friends, make new ones, relax and enjoy an afternoon of fine food, conversation and friendship. A great way to meet other transgender and gender questioning in a safe and friendly atmosphere. The following dates have already been arranged for 2012:

Transgender Parents Support Group!The next Transgender parents support group meets monthly with the first group for 2012 on Monday the 13th of February 2012 from 6:00pm at the Gender Centre, 7 Bent Street Petersham. Dates for 2012: February 13 • March 12 • April 2 • May 14 • June 11 • July 9 • August 13 • September 10 • October 8 All transgender and gender questioning parents are invited to come and be part of these discussion nights. Over 55yo Support Group!The next Over 55 year olds support group will meet on Thursday the 9th of February 2012 from 1:00pm at the Gender Centre, 7 Bent Street Petersham. F.T.M. ConnectThe Gender Centre will be hosting monthly meetings on a Friday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm exclusively for F.T.M.s. Guest speakers will be in attendance with a different topic each month, participants are strongly encouraged to inform the staff of suitable topics.
