Gender and the need to identify in a way that I am comfortable, and if that means bending my birth gender then that is where I am
headed. I came out to my family a month ago, it was very difficult and their reactions ranged from surprise to silence. My friends have
been very understanding and supportive.
I plan to change my name by the end of July, who'd of thought trying to find a name for yourself would be so difficult, by the way does
anybody know a good naming book? I hope to be on a hormone program by the end of the year, now this one will be interesting. To start with
I am not looking forward to being blasted in the butt every few weeks. I've been told that soon after starting the program I can expect to
have hair sprouting from my face and other unmentionable bits of my body - anywhere but the back! Oh yeah, and then there is the question
of the lack of hair my head may decide to keep, please don't let me go bald, just in case an emergency may arise, does anyone have a
contact address for Greg Mathews, yeah yeah.
I am hoping my voice will not cause me grief while it is breaking, and I have convinced myself that once it breaks I will have a
fantastic voice to sing with, even if it is only in the shower with my rubber duckies. And then there is the possibility of having to deal
with acne all over again, can't wait for that one not. Negatives aside I am still excited about the program.
I would like to send a big thank you to all the workers at The Gender Centre, you have been very understanding and easy to talk with.
Thank you my family and friends for your love and support and to my partner Dan for your endless loving support, you are most certainly one
in a million.
