Transgender Warriors

by Leslie Feinberg
Published by Beacon Press, June 30 1997 I.S.B.N. 978-0807079416

"Transgender Warriors" is a wonderful trany history, full of pride by a trany. Feinberg's own story is fascinating reading as are the political insights and historical details. It focuses particularly on non-European cultures with transgender traditions such as Native American and African.

Stone Butch Blues

by Leslie Feinberg
Published by Apryl Books, April 1 2004 I.S.B.N. 978-1555838537

"Stone Butch Blues" is Feinberg's earlier book and first novel. It is superbly written, gut wrenching writing about queers - gay, lesbian, trany, and looks at the cross-overs between butch-dyke and F.T.M. The story is 1950's - present in a context of working class industrial U.S.A. Totally absorbing.
